Procurement Coordinator – 12-Week Temporary Contract

Peterborough | Full-time | 12 weeks | Hybrid – 2 days WFH

We’re recruiting a Procurement Coordinator for a 12-week temporary assignment with a large, established organisation in Peterborough.

This is a great short-term opportunity for someone who knows their way around SAP and can quickly get up to speed within a busy procurement and supply chain environment.

What will you be doing?

Working within the procurement function, you’ll support the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process, including:

Using SAP to raise requisitions and facilitate their conversion into purchase orders

Supporting colleagues with order management and purchase-to-pay queries

Investigating and resolving invoice queries

Completing goods receipts and service entries to ensure invoices can be paid on time

Maintaining accurate records and effective controls

Managing a high-volume workload while meeting strict deadlines

Ensuring procurement and supply chain procedures are followed

What are we looking for?

Previous SAP experience is essential for this role. You’ll need to be confident using the system and able to hit the ground running.

Alongside this, you’ll bring:

Strong IT skills and excellent attention to detail

Great organisation and the ability to prioritise a busy workload

Confident written and verbal communication

Good customer service skills

Strong verbal and numerical reasoning

The ability to work accurately while meeting deadlines

Experience within procurement, purchasing, purchase-to-pay, accounts payable, order processing or a similar high-volume environment would be particularly relevant.

The important bits

This is a full-time, 12-week temporary assignment, so you’ll ideally be immediately available or able to start at short notice.

You’ll be based in Peterborough with hybrid working – three days in the office and two days from home each week.
