Provides various data entry services for the department utilizing the Patient Care and Material Distribution systems. Assesses inventory and fills carts in order to supply OR rooms with supplies.Description:
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Required) Work Experience 1 - 2 years Inventory Control and Data Entry Experience (Required) Licenses and Certifications Not Applicable - No Certification and Licensure Requirements Required or Preferred Essential Functions INVENTORY CONTROL: Provides mechanism for monitoring the quantity of supplies assigned to each area and resolve problems that arise to ensure effective operation of the department. Investigates and resolves problems related to processing, storage, and delivery of supplies, including controlling inventory by doing manual counts to compare to computer system. Works toward the standardization of products to add value and savings to the hospital. Requisitions supplies from prime vendor, general stores, and specialty vendors to maintain various inventories throughout area of responsibility. Uses communication written and verbal to communicate backorders and substitutions. RETURNS AND REPAIRS: Handles all departmental returns and repairs. Maintains spreadsheets and other tracking tools to track repairs. Communicates with specialty teams regarding specific repairs. Obtains loaners. Utilizes repair contracts. TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE: Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role. Understands equipment operation. Maintains equipment in working order. Troubleshoots equipment problems. Uses technology to increase productivity. Adapts to new technology Additional Duties Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines. Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization. Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.Apply for this role
