About the role

Summary

As a Processing Maintenance Manager, you will lead and oversee the maintenance activities for our processing operation. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of processing equipment. The Maintenance Manager will manage a team of maintenance technicians, oversee preventive maintenance programs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and a collaborative working environment
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of processing equipment, including motors, pumps, valves, presses, separators, and other machinery, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
  • Supervise, organize, and enhance the preventive maintenance programs to proactively address equipment issues and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and address equipment malfunctions, collaborating with the maintenance team and other relevant departments
  • Ensure that maintenance activities follow safety regulations and company policies. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and regulate the processing maintenance budget, including forecasting, cost control, and justification of capital expenditures for equipment upgrades or replacements
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules
  • Find opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in maintenance activities. Implement and foster continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance personnel to enhance technical skills and promote a culture of continuous learning
  • Follow Chobani safety procedures
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Maintenance/Industrial Technology or Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years supervisory experience working in a fast pace, 24/7/365 manufacturing environment
  • Validated experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a focus on processing equipment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software

 Compensation Range: $97,600.00 - $146,400.00, plus bonus.
