Context/Scope:
This role is constantly managing multiple priorities across processing on a shift. The role requires quick decision-making capabilities that will have impact to schedule adherence, safety, and quality. The role is directly responsible for the overall performance of a specific part/area on a shift.
Purpose:
The Processing Inventory Analyst will facilitate and manage the following:
Coordinate and facilitate consistency in asset utilization and schedule planning for the Plainfield Processing Department.
Identify and report planning risks and opportunities as it relates to all aspects of the Plainfield Processing area including receipts, material inventories, batching schedules, and asset plans.
Build and lead capacity plans for the processing area, with triggers for additional investments as deemed necessary.
Provide leadership through communication of plans and reasoning of plans to increase all team members overall understanding and engagement.
Partner with Plainfield Network Supply team to ensure alignment on overall plants goals and provide plans to meet the needs of the entire business.
Management Responsibilities:
Processing Inventory Analyst is responsible for the schedule and asset utilization plan for the entire Plainfield Processing Plant. Through partnerships with Network Supply, Bottling Operations and the Processing Team, the Inventory Analyst must possess the ability to influence key stakeholders to maximize the capacity of the Processing department.
Complexity of the Role:
Due to the rapid increase in complexity and demands on the Plainfield Processing asset base, in addition to operating on a 24 x 7 basis, the role will be required to constantly prioritize, and constantly look forward to the challenge that could arise for communication and mitigation without impact to capacity. This role will be the first response for decisions in schedule changes based on analysis of changes in the operating environment.
Key Outputs:
Responsible for developing, communicating, and leading the weekly processing batching, loading, and unloading schedule with plans for asset utilization and batch destination.
Communication of plans and changes in plans to accommodate changing within a multifaceted production environment.
Establish, communicate, and track results for unloading and materials receipts to ensure all materials are available to meet production demands.
Launch, lead, and communicate critical metrics to reflect progress against established plans and capacity of processing system.
Provide ongoing communications on plans and plan development methods to build consistency in decision making.
Participate in planning and support for all new product innovations and product renovations.
Lead inventory management to ensure CARM compliance, material availability, and obsolescence management.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in operations / supply chain management / engineering or other related business discipline.
2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
Knowledge of inventory practices
Excellent data management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build processes and systems in new and or changing environment.
