Salary Range: $154,050 - $267,008 USD per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) 

Support Nokia’s Base Station Internal Hardware and Software architecture for LTE and 5G (Classical and Cloud) products. Provide support for advanced mobile radio networks, including LTE and 5G. Execute carrier aggregation designs, optimization, and performance. Perform with 4G/5G Network optimization, 5G System Design, and 5G Algorithm Design. Work with VoLTE/VoNR design, optimization, and performance. Perform call processing and higher layer protocols, including Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), and Real-time transport (RTP). Develop performance optimization techniques and methods, and applications to wireless networks. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. Conduct processing of field/network performance data, traces, and logs. Perform KPI Analysis by reviewing the counters and Radio Resource Management Algorithm. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures. Review data analytics, perform statistical analysis and troubleshoot to resolve issues. #LI-DNI
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive related work experience, OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience. 

 

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:

 

Mobile radio networks, including 5G and LTE;  Call processing and higher layer protocols, including Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), and Real-time transport (RTP); 5G/LTE/VOLTE/VoNR Networks and Call flows; Troubleshooting and improving KPIs for radio performance and optimization of telecommunications networks covering 5G and LTE; 4G/5G Network optimization, 5G System Design, and 5G Algorithm Design; L2 modules, including Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) and  Radio Link Control (RLC); and L3 control plane entities including, Radio Resource Control (RRC) and Radio Resource Manager (RRM). 

 

Domestic travel up to 10% required. 

 

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted, depending on business need.
