We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer - Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support one of our premier programs on the Aurora, CO Campus within the Command & Control (C2) component, overseeing 4-6 Agile Development Teams.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate Command & Control (C2) Agile events including scrum of scrum, retrospectives and planning
  • Represent Command & Control (C2) at Program Scrum, champion continuous improvement across the component and mentor and coach team leads on agile practices and team leadership
  • Provide cross Integrated Project Team (IPT) communication for removal of blockers and program wide process improvements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational related discrepancies ensuring prompt support and solutions while communicating clear and regular status updates to key stakeholders
  • Own Command & Control (C2) component processes and documentation as well as the execution for Command & Control (C2) increment plan driving feature and capability delivery and closure

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Systems Engineering lifecycle experience
  • Experience in Satellite Command & Control, Satellite Mission Management systems, and/or Satellite Ground Station systems
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment on an integrated team working with Software Engineering and Integration and Verification teams developing and maintaining requirements, end user manuals, and/or algorithm description documents
  • Systems Engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis / synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Development experience on a large government contract
  • Proven ability to create, maintain and analyze component metrics to improve and increase effectiveness of the components cost, technical, and schedule execution.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools / platforms such as Jira, Confluence,  Azure DevOps, Cameo EA, and/or similar tools
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management, customer base and individual contributors on the program team
  • Good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team and multi-disciplined environment
