This is an opportunity to join the Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) supporting the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Principal Specialist  (P3). In this role, you will gain end-to-end exposure to program execution and financial performance, developing the skills and insights needed to progress toward future leadership roles in Business Management.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong technical knowledge of finance and program control, strong problem-solving skills and have good communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and in a team environment and can multitask and work on several different program issues concurrently, in a fast-paced environment. 

This role is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work will be done in Andover, MA. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do

  • Financial Consolidation & Reporting – Lead the consolidation, reporting, and analysis of core financial metrics (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash) for LTAMDS LRIP

  • Support the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and report cycles, including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, Monthly Operation Reviews, Monthly Forecast Reviews, and Balance Sheet Reviews

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with program leadership, finance, and operations to connect financial results to program performance

  • Oversee forecasting process for LTAMDS Production including month end close deliverables, ensuring accuracy & completeness of data

  • Coordinate with Program Finance teams to align business forecasts with program EAC's

  • Track and report on investments across all colors of money (Capital, NBI, IR&D, Overhead, etc.)

  • Manage and analyze large amounts of data from various sources in support of various requests

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & 5 years of Finance related experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years' Finance related experience

  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting and/or variance analysis

  • Experience with SAP and/or a similar system

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry

  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with development of forecasts and long-range plans

  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly throughout a cross-functional environment

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines while multitasking and managing workload requirements
