Principal Software Engineer- (SSL/SSH Decryption – DPI-SSL/DPI-SSH)

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design and implement SSH/SSL decryption (DPI-SSL and DPI-SSH) features of SonicWall's next-generation firewall.
• Maintain and document code using source control system.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Experienced C/C++ programmer.
• Strong knowledge of SSL protocol and OpenSSL library.
• Knowledge of SSH protocol.
• Knowledge of security ciphers and general knowledge of PKI is highly recommended.
• Solid background in TCP/IP networking a must with strong Layer 3 through Layer 7 protocol (HTTP, SMTP, POP, FTP) knowledge.
• Previous experience in working on SSL decryption type of functionality is a huge plus.
• Experience with firewalls and embedded development environment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong background in either Unix/Linux or VxWorks systems a must.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Computer Science/Engineering.

 

Compensation varies based on location and work being performed. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $168,914 – $285,855 for annual base salary. Employees may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and commissions. The successful candidate’s actual pay will also be based on qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
