Our Advanced Technologies team is looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to work on advanced concepts and advanced technology product development for aerospace and defense applications.  This position is onsite at El Segundo, CA.

Clearance and Citizenship Requirement:

• Must have an Active/Current DoD TOP Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have current Special Access (SAP) Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software design, integration and test utilizing C / C++ OR similar languages.
• Familiarity of firmware development process with Vivado/Vitus
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Kubernetes
• Matlab/Simulink signal/image processing expertise
• Multidiscipline SME with experience in Agile environment
• Experience with supplier/vendor facing, and with customer on-site integration events
• Experience writing technical documents including proposal experience
• Agile process expertise
• EVMS and BOE experience
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Onsite work to support lab efforts and collaborative development.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 103,000 USD - 215,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
