RUCKUS Edge product provides a highly fault tolerant, low latency, high throughput, and flexibly deployable edge services such as network data plane, control plane and other value-added services as CNF and VNF, along with cloud-based management plane with ML/AI capabilities to enhance user experience. 

Our team is hiring for a Principal Level Software Engineer who can design and develop Cloud native Network Function , Virtual Network Function in IP Networking, Datapath, Control Path, Routing Protocols, Network Security in Network Space. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Design and develop new software features and enhancements related to Cloud Native Network Function , Virtual Network Function switching/routing on Ruckus SmartEdge platform.
• Porting our software to different hardware platform.
• Launching our software in cloud providers.
• Developing high performance networking drivers.
• Review and prepare functional and design documents.
• Review test plans prepared by SQA.
• Identify and resolve customer problems.

 

Requirements:

 

• Development experience in various operating systems – e.g. Linux, BSD, ..
• Development experience in porting software to different hardware platform
• Development experience in high performance networking drivers
• Required to be very strong in C programming, data structures, multithreading and SMP.
• Required to have solid Linux development experience, especially developing multithreaded software running on multicore systems.
• Highly desirable to have knowledge and development experience in Dockers, and Containers based systems.

Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $135,600.00- $180,000.00
