The Role:
The ForgeRock Autonomous Engineering team is building the next generation of identity and access management powered by AI/ML approaches. The team is rapidly evolving the Autonomous Identity solution to address key use cases in cybersecurity, consumer privacy and regulatory compliance. This role will contribute to development of various features for Identity Governance in Autonomous products stack.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, design and develop large scale, robust, and cutting-edge Java based identity management products
- Technical leadership in key areas of product development
- Provide mentoring and coaching to engineering team
- Managing tasks independently and efficiently to timescales/plans
- Work closely with product management and architects to improve the products and develop new features

- 10+ years of experience designing and developing large scale applications using Java
- Expert knowledge of Java and JavaScript; Python highly desirable
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and NoSQL databases preferred
- Expert grounding in modern software engineering practices and design patterns, especially cloud native and micro-services based design
- Familiarity with RESTful web services
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands-on experience with public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data engineering principles including ingestion, queuing, processing, and storage for high performance data-oriented systems
- Knowledge of the principles to construct fault-tolerance, reliability and durability within software systems
- Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and time
- Experience in taking ownership of features, while working with a team on short and long-running projects
- Expertise with Identity and Access Management
- Highly experienced in the design and implementation of modern web applications
- Possess the desire to learn and curiosity to understand how and why things work
- Good understanding of and experience in Agile methodologies within a fast paced software development environment
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working within distributed global teams
- Degree level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or related subject
The typical hiring range for this role is $148,261 - $181,739 in annual base compensation. Bonus and commission eligible roles will provide the opportunity to earn additional income based on performance against objectives. Candidate location and qualifications will be assessed to determine final compensation. In addition, our generous total rewards package includes health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, risk insurances, paid time off, parental leave, plus other supplemental offerings.
