About the role

Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Data Platform. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a data platform that supports reliable, scalable, and maintainable healthcare EHR systems. As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Data Platform to support the development of new and existing EHR products.  These are complex, data intensive applications that need to meet Oracle’s exacting design standards for scale and reliability.  These systems have millions of daily users and store hundreds of TB of data.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical skill set and have experience with service development, public cloud providers, and healthcare data systems.  In addition, they will be capable of performance tuning SQL, designing reliable distributed systems, and be familiar with observability tools and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle Database or similar relational database.
  • Deep expertise in SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Experience with messaging queuing technologies such as TEQ or IBM MQ is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Full stack development experience, with experience building web services and public cloud providers.
  • Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.
  • Strong design skills for building secure, highly scalable, and extensible systems.
  • Experience providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

The Data Platform group in Oracle Health & Core Platform is looking for full stack developers with expertise and passion for building robust data systems. We are focused on providing a reliable, scalable, and maintainable data storage architecture that maintains a single source of truth for patients’ electronic health records. We provide data capabilities that facilitate the design and development of EHR applications, including core EHR features that require extensive data manipulation and standard approaches to reference data management. We are working to build a platform that enables developers to build applications that tackle today’s biggest challenges in healthcare.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
