We are searching for the best talent for a Principal Scientist, Translational Science Immunology to be located in Spring House, Pennsylvania.

For more than two decades we have been a world leader in the development of transformational medicines, establishing one of the strongest, first-in-class portfolios and pipelines in the industry, including the first tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor, and first interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23 inhibitors. We tirelessly push the boundaries of science and creativity, applying our deep disease insights, novel pathway science, new technologies, and treatment modalities to restore immune homeostasis.   

The Translational Science group (TS) has the primary responsibility for creating and implementing innovative translational plans for portfolio assets. TS is a group within the Immunology Therapeutic Area consisting of a Translational Science and Translational Medicine (TM) teams that form the Translational Science and Medicine department (TSM). TS has combined expertise in developing asset specific and disease specific biomarkers from conception, assay development and implementation into clinical studies to study and drive biological understanding of immunologic disease and immunologic pathways. Organizationally, TSM serves as a pivotal bridge between Discovery Research and the later phase Clinical Development group. TSM provides the necessary scientific and clinical expertise to advance an industry-leading pipeline of

novel mechanism small molecules and biologic agents to address unmet need in immune-mediated diseases.

This position is within the Immunology Translational Sciences group and requires a highly motivated and skilled candidate to drive the translational research of innovative therapies across immune-mediated diseases. The Principal Scientist will provide biomarker support for Immunology clinical programs with a focus on maternal fetal immunology and rare diseases. The successful candidate will lead a matrixed team with diverse expertise in assay development and translational research. Key activities include leading biomarker discovery efforts, assay development and assay validation (including but not limited to flow cytometry assays), organizational excellence, and laboratory supervision.
