About the role

As a Principal Sales Consultant in the Communications Global Industry Unit (CGIU), you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Lead any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Develop new content and presentations tailored for a customers specific problems and business needs. In depth knowledge of competitors and industry trends. Demonstrate project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Act as a technical resource and mentor to the Sales Consulting organization.

 

Interface with key customers in the region to discuss and support voice network lifecycle and modernization activities to influence and steer the technology strategy and technical choices. Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that require creative solutions.

 

Develop trustful and seamless relationship for the mid/long term business with the key customers of the region.

 

Pace is fast in Oracle Communications.  Taking Customer inputs, formal documentation of enhancement requests and articulating them to Product and Development engineering teams to influence the roadmap to solve the business requirements is key. The CGIU leverages agile methodology, so a good grasp of agile concepts is very useful.

 

In this role, often times one needs to deep dive in the technical areas, enable Customer Lab trials or Demos of our solutions integrating into a multi-vendor environment.Sales acumen and technical knowledge are essential qualities for this position.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 10+ years of professional experience, ideally in consultative or strategic customer-facing roles

* 3+ years enabling and developing service provider communication channel partners and MSPs

* Experience selling SIP related technologies to large service providers

* Hands on experience with Session Border Controller configuration and implementation, preferably Oracle Communications SBC, is a must for this role

* Experience sizing deals and quoting solutions

* Results-oriented, strategic thinker

* Strong understanding for the service provider communication and communication cloud market including: Voice Security, STIR/SHAKEN, SIP Session Delivery, IMS, VoLTE/Vo5G, Cloud, UCaaS/CCaaS/CPaaS, Hybrid-Deployment, SaaS

* Knowledge of IaaS (Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure & Amazon AWS) and experience with transitioning workloads to IaaS. 

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights and clearly communicate complex ideas to customer senior executives, while handling questions and objections

* Mix of business and technical skills with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy

* Creative, high-energy, self-starter comfortable in presenting to engineers and business leaders

* Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product Management, Product Development, other key partners

* Experience in account strategy support, and development and execution of value hypotheses, business cases.

* Social Media Presence: Active usage of social media including blogging and tweeting in the Service Provider Communications space

US: Hiring Range: from $38.85 to $85.67 per hour; from $80,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
