None/Not RequiredThis position is for a seasoned Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on multi-site quality health across the Avionics locations in Iowa, New Jersey and Germany. May manage Quality processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. This is an onsite position and will require the employee to be at the facility.
What You Will Do:
Lead for quality-focused mentoring and will function as a site subject matter expert in quality engineering and methodologies.
Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
Conducts processes to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Coaches and mentors Quality Engineers on escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Responsible for data/metrics gathering, generation, and analysis for Iowa Quality.
Leads projects and efforts in alignment with key metrics tracked on the Iowa Quality control tower to ensure effective execution and recovery in get to green efforts
Responsible for leading teams on Iowa Quality projects.
Evaluates RCCA performance and effectiveness to identify/evaluate trends.
Developing and presenting regular management presentations.
Familiarity and competency with Business Analytics tools.
Utilizes UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.) to identify and develop recommendations for managing risk in product development.
Responsible for development of new inspection metrics, technologies, and/or methodologies to assure product conformance and effectiveness of the inspection practice
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Root Cause experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
Relevant ASQ certification and/or engineering degree preferred.
Manufacturing experience
ACE/Six Sigma Certification
Familiarity with creating/using dashboards in Tableau and/or PowerBI
Mentoring experience
