About the role

Project Rufus is an interactive shopping conversational experience through the Amazon Search bar built using LLM trained on web and Amazon data. In Rufus, We’re working to improve shopping on Amazon using the conversational capabilities of large language models, and are searching for pioneers who are passionate about technology, innovation, and customer experience, and are ready to make a lasting impact on the industry. You'll be working with talented scientists, engineers, producnit managers, language experts and technical program managers (TPM) to innovate on behalf of our customers. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join the Shopping Search Team as a Principal Program Manager focusing on innovation regarding LLMs, process automation, and quality. This role is a hybrid of having process and product knowledge and being instinctive on how to make these changes happen via a continuous improvement approach. To be successful you need to think big and create innovation to enable our fast-growing business whilst at the same time leading the end-to-end process execution. You will build solutions in close collaboration with Amazon AI Science, Tech, Data Operations, and other business stakeholders. You will interface with multiple category and business teams within EU and US leveraging the larger Amazon infrastructure aligning with the larger global strategy and ensuring we design and implement E2E processes and practices that are globally scalable for our business.

• The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have a bias for action orientated on results
• Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization
• Passion for innovative solutions and process improvement.

Basic Qualifications


- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
