Job Description Summary:

The Principal Machine Learning Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge ML systems at scale. In this role, you'll serve as a technical leader, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define the long-term ML strategy, mentor engineers, and build innovative solutions that drive real business impact.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ML initiatives from research and prototyping to deployment and monitoring in production.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for ML-driven solutions.
• Architect scalable and robust ML infrastructure and pipelines.
• Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art algorithms in areas such as NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems, or time series forecasting.
• Drive best practices in data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and experimentation.
• Mentor and guide other ML engineers and data scientists.
• Establish technical standards, conduct code and design reviews.
• Communicate technical concepts and ML insights to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and deep experience with ML libraries.
• Proven track record of building and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Expertise in model evaluation, A/B testing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ML Ops tools.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, optimization, and algorithm design.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Prior experience leading high-impact ML initiatives or teams.
• Knowledge of responsible AI and model interpretability techniques.
