Larkdale Elementary
Grades:  Pre-Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Larkdale Elementary School is located in Lauderhill, Florida.  The school currently serves approximately 423 students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth.  Larkdale Elementary currently has two aftercare programs (21st Century and YMCA) that serves approximately 100 students combined.  Additionally, students in grades three through five are given an opportunity to participate in Larkdale’s Afterschool Enrichment Learning Camp for reading, math, and science.  Students, staff, parents, and community partners work together in SAC and SAF to help all students receive a quality education and reach their highest potential within a secure, safe and enriching learning environment.

More than just an administrator, the next principal of Larkdale Elementary must be a relationship-centered leader who is visible, engaged, and dedicated to building strong connections with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to community engagement, ensuring that families and stakeholders are active partners in the school’s success. They will be proactive in developing and strengthening parent engagement efforts, growing the PTA, and building partnerships that enhance the learning experience of every child. With experience in working with special needs students and a deep understanding of differentiated instruction, this leader will ensure that all students, regardless of background or ability, receive the support they need to thrive. Additionally, they will play a vital role in collaborating with the Boyd Anderson Zone to support smooth school transitions and foster a cohesive educational experience from elementary through high school.

As an instructional leader, this individual must be data-driven and strategic, with a clear vision for academic excellence and continuous school improvement. They will be resourceful in securing funding and support for innovative programs that elevate student achievement and expand after-school opportunities. Their leadership will be marked by transparency, fairness, and a deep respect for all stakeholders, ensuring that teachers, staff, and students feel heard, valued, and empowered. A strong advocate for both students and staff, the principal will work to build and sustain a positive school culture where academic success, personal growth, and character development are equally prioritized.
