Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Trusted strategic advisor to our top clients, leading high-stakes projects, representing the firm at industry events, securing new business, and driving the strategic direction of our consulting services.
- Supervises consulting projects managed by reporting Senior Consultants; ensure quality, cost control, profitability and reviews and approves methodology and approach of projects.
- Manages and supports the professional development of your Consulting Team: Managers, Senior Consultants, Consultants and Analysts.
- Acts as the Project Manager and a key resource on strategically important and innovative projects.
- Transform successful innovative projects into regular services that can be performed by Senior Consultants.
- Pursues strategically important new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- MBA, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning and/or Transportation or equivalent related education.
- Minimum 10 years experience in consulting for railway projects with focus on rail strategical transportation planning / urban planning / operations planning / route management etc.
- Strong leadership and decision-making qualities.
- Demonstrate project management experience related to rail transportation planning projects, including the ability to perform under pressure.
- Highly developed written and verbal presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively, experienced in the preparation of high quality (PowerPoint) presentations.
- Business-oriented mindset with keen skills of perception and well-structured working approach.
- Occasional domestic / international travel may be required.
Working Conditions and Travel:
You may work from your home office and/or a well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional overnight travel by land and air.
Physical Requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day
- Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings
