About the Role:

The R&D Principal Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the Interventional Cardiology/Vascular Therapies organization.  The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. The position requires someone that can build strong relationships with business partners to optimize financial planning, analysis, and reporting.  Additional responsibilities include leading financial reviews and facilitating month-end close.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business to develop financial projections for long range strategic plan, annual operating plan and periodic forecasts
  • Create detailed analysis that incorporate relevant benchmarks and business information related to operating expense and headcount
  • Monitor performance versus expectations and clearly articulate variance drivers, opportunity, and risk
  • Lead periodic performance reviews with business partners
  • Proactively develop ad-hoc financial analysis and presentations for senior management to provide insight into trends and business performance
  • Perform month end close process/post journal entries needed to ensure proper accounting
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and analytics
  • Demonstrate commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strong financial analysis, communication, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with strong service orientation
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and adhere to deadlines in a high-paced organization
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Team orientated

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • Financial tools: Hyperion, Oracle, Power BI, SAP a plus

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
