Position Overview: Candidates will work in a team of engineers to define and develop new products for Cloud and Data Center Market.  This will involve close collaboration with some of the best circuit designers in the industry armed with the tools, knowledge, and technologies of the leader in power management.  The job requires strong analog and digital power systems design with commensurate laboratory skills. Additional job responsibilities include writing circuit documentation and application notes as well as product promotion in front of customers and business development.

More specifically, the candidate needs to contribute in the following areas:

  • Product Definition
    • Participate in the definition of new products with close collaboration with the Product Marketing, and Design teams
    • Provide recommendations on power supply topology, control algorithm, and feature set for the new product to meet customer needs
    • Lead architecture and power solution definitions for products
  • Product Development
    • Verify the architecture and power solution through behavioral simulations
    • Guide design of evaluation boards for internal silicon verification and customer evaluation
    • Lead experimental verification of products in development to identify problems and limitations
  • Product Support
    • Develop design collaterals to assist customers with designs, such as simulation models and detailed architecture guidelines
    • Lead verification and testing of evaluation kits, and generation of evaluation reports for customers
    • Answer technical questions about our products
    • Support FAEs and local and remote Application Teams
    • Support Troubleshooting of difficult or unusual technical problems
  • Product Promotion and Business Development
    • Participate in strategic business development and new product promotion
    • Attend customer meetings and lead generation of project proposals

Education & Experience

Minimum BSEE + 9 years of experience; Preferred MSEE (or equivalent) + 7 years of experience or PhD + 5 years of experience

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of analog mixed-signal circuit design
  • Power Electronics Knowledge – Operation and Control of DC-DC converters
  • Understanding of circuit simulation and/or software development tools and techniques
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e., oscilloscope, electronic-load, DAQ)
  • Experience debugging circuits
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
  • Can work both independently and with a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Digital and software design skills
