This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO., or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program
- Work with the leading DevOps practices and tools such as:
- Hashicorp Tools
- GitLab CI/CD
- Ansible Tower
- Nexus Pro
- Work on systems administration-related issues with hardware and software for different network environments
- Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software
- Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers
- Determines system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
- Develops and recommends corrective actions
- May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience instead of a degree
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
- Scripting skills in languages such as:
- Bash or PowerShell
- Experience with automation
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
- Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD and Nexus
- Experience in virtualization technology
