Why Powder Mountain for Your Data Career?
This isn't your typical data role. As our Principal Data & Analytics Engineer, you won't just analyze; you'll be the visionary architect and hands-on builder of our entire data ecosystem. You'll drive the full data lifecycle from raw ingestion to powerful insights, setting the standard for data excellence across the organization. While reporting to the Director of IT Operations, you'll have a dotted line reporting relationship to Finance and collaborate extensively with stakeholders across all lines of business.
- End-to-End Data Ownership & Strategy: You will define, implement, and lead the next phase of our data warehouse program, acting as the singular owner of our core data infrastructure. This includes designing scalable data models, building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating diverse raw data sources (both internal and external) into our Customer Data Platform (CDP), and ensuring data quality and governance from end to end. You'll proactively identify opportunities to leverage data for strategic advantage and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- CRM Data & Reporting Leadership: You will serve as the operational lead for HubSpot CRM specifically related to its data and reporting processes. This includes owning its data architecture, ensuring data integrity, optimizing its reporting capabilities, and building necessary pipelines and integrations to maximize its contribution to business intelligence. You'll work in close, high-level collaboration with the Applications Manager to ensure seamless operational alignment for other aspects of the CRM.
- ERP Data Integration & Integrity: You'll be directly responsible for the integration and integrity of all application data flowing into our ERP system. This includes designing, implementing, and monitoring data flows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability for critical business operations and financial reporting.
- Advanced Analytics & Cross-Functional Impact: You'll transform complex, raw data into clear, compelling reports and dynamic dashboards that combine insights from every department. Your expertise will extend beyond standard tools; you'll have the autonomy and skill to code and engineer your own custom data solutions when off-the-shelf tools aren't sufficient, ensuring rapid, high-impact results. You will be a trusted advisor, collaborating directly and frequently with executive and senior leaders, including a key dotted-line relationship with Finance, to translate sophisticated data insights into actionable strategic recommendations that directly influence critical business decisions across all lines of business.
- Vendor Management: You'll manage key vendor relationships associated with our entire data analytics program, ensuring our tools and partnerships are cutting-edge and aligned with our strategic vision.
