Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector is currently hiring a Principal or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer​ to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership opportunity is based in Melbourne, FL. 

We're looking for a highly motivated, team oriented, individual that understands security and the importance to our mission. The candidate will be responsible for the secure operations of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software, including the installation, maintenance, and improvement of cloud computing environments. They will also help develop new designs and security strategies across cloud-based applications and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The candidate will act as a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). 

Principal Cyber Systems Engineer​ Responsibilities: 

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Supports the RMF process and maintains system Authorizations to Operate (ATOs).

Basic Qualifications: 

• Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 9 years of applied experience. Will consider 5 years of applied experience with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field; or, 3 years with a master's degree.

• Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 12 years of applied experience. Will consider 8 years of applied experience with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field; or, 6 years with a master's degree.

• Must have at minimum a current DoD 8570 IAM Level I Certification (Security+ CE).  Must be able to obtain IASAE II (CLSSP, CISSP, CASP+, etc.) or IAM II (CISSP, GLSC,
