About the role

Position Overview: As a Primavera P6 Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and utilization of Primavera P6 software to support project planning, scheduling, and control activities. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and maintain project schedules, analyze project performance, and identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Primavera P6 and project controls principles, with a passion for optimizing project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Primavera P6 Implementation:Lead the implementation and configuration of Primavera P6 software to support project management and control functions.Customize Primavera P6 settings, layouts, and reports to align with project requirements and organizational standards.Project Planning and Scheduling:Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating scope, resources, milestones, and constraints.Analyze schedule data, critical paths, and schedule variances to identify potential risks and opportunities.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Monitor project performance against baseline schedules, tracking progress, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Generate and distribute regular project status reports, progress updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders.Change Management and Risk Mitigation:Assess schedule impacts of proposed changes, delays, or disruptions and provide recommendations for mitigation.Identify and analyze project risks and develop contingency plans to minimize schedule impacts and cost overruns.Training and Support:Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on Primavera P6 software functionality, best practices, and usage guidelines.Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Primavera P6, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.3+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or related field, with a focus on Primavera P6 software.Proficiency in Primavera P6 software, including installation, configuration, customization, and administration.Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and project controls methodologies.Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
