NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, located in Southern Brooklyn, accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. Soon to be the home of a brand new State of the Art Inpatient Clinical Services Building and Campus.

Responsibilities

South Brooklyn Health is recruiting for a full-time Primary Care Physician who will...

Attend to a direct patient panel of adult primary care patientsEnsure patient/provider continuity and access to timely and appropriate levels of care.Educate, mentor and supervise residents and medical studentsWork collaboratively with mid-level providers.Participate in system-wide performance improvement and quality management projects as needed

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical School and completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicineBoard Certified in Internal Medicine or the ability to become Board Certified within 5 years of hireActive or pending NYS LicenseActive DEA licenseCultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required 

Previous experience working with an underserved patient population preferredSpanish or Cantonese language proficiency is a plus!

Annual Base Salary: $205,000 - $210,000
