Pricing Analyst, Senior Associate

The Securities Valuations Oversight Team is responsible for onboarding of new back office and middle office clients, JV Oversight and JV governance for security valuation. The Senior Associate will be a key member of this team providing pricing support to internal groups and our external clients, including responding to inquiries, and conducting specialized pricing research and analysis.

The candidate will perform and review various valuation oversight controls and procedures and work on valuation related projects. You will develop and maintain close relationships with all operational groups, external clients, compliance and at times audit firms. Strong time management and organizational skills needed, with the aptitude to work on multiple deliverables concurrently.

What you will be responsible for

As Pricing Analyst, Sr. Associate you will

• Provide client level pricing support for the IMS business, Back Office and other internal BUs requesting market data from GPS via the EPW application. 

• Provide on shore oversight support to our JV team in Coimbatore, Vjayawada and Pune, India. 

• SME for Securities Valuation on the EPW-Legacy and Beacon pricing application.

• Interact with project leads and internal teams across State Street departments and locations supporting the IMS business.

• Oversee and review daily tasks and client pricing files are completed, reviewed and delivered before client file deadlines.  

• Maintain audit standards for all work performed by IMS Global Pricing team and JV partners.

• Ensure operational efficiencies and controls are followed and maintained to reduce operational and client risk.

• Candidate should have the understanding of industry security identifiers and general valuation methodology used to value various security types; equities, fixed income, fund security types and various derivative instruments.

• Knowledge and understanding of various vendor tools/workstations such as Reuters and Bloomberg is required.

• Excel proficiency and general Microsoft Office is a must. Candidate should demonstrated problem solving skills, conducting specialized research and analysis of complex securities pricing issues. 

• Candidate will be responsible to monitor and analyze market movements and specific securities developments and communicates with client groups and internal support teams. 

• Attention to detail required and candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task and meet required daily pricing deadlines.

• Knowledge of internal SSC applications/systems is essential.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ work experience.
