Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring, organized, and dependable Preschool Cook to join our team! The Cook will be responsible for preparing healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks in accordance with nutrition and safety guidelines. This role also includes providing light housekeeping support and assisting classrooms when needed to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks that meet state nutritional guidelines 
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen that meets all health and safety standards
• Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste
• Support classrooms during transition times (e.g., meal setup, cleanup, or teacher breaks)
• Assist with light housekeeping duties throughout the center (laundry, sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies)
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth daily routine for children and classrooms
• Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and food safety protocols

Qualifications:

• ServSafe Certification required
• Previous experience in food preparation for children or in a childcare/school setting preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
