Pre-College Music Associate

Description

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music is looking for a collaborative pianist who will support our Pre-College students by performing for rehearsals and recitals.

• Responsible for performing on Pre-College rehearsals and recitals as a collaborative 
• Pianist for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music

Work Schedule

Part-time, following the Pre-College Academic Calendar

Classes: September - May, Saturdays, between the hours of 7:30am-5:00pm

Requirements

• Demonstrate excellent musicianship and artistry as a collaborative pianist
• Prior professional experience working with young musicians; four year undergraduate degree or equivalent required
• Ability to sight-read and prepare repertoire quickly and work independently
• Candidates with experience working in diverse communities encouraged to apply
• Ability to maintain strong working relationships with SFCM administrative staff and faculty
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills; maintain a good relationship with parents; demand a high standard of excellence while creating an encouraging, inspiring, and engaging experience for the students
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required for the selected candidate
