We are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Pre-Apprentice Lineman/Cableman. The successful candidates will be expected to perform all the basic duties in connection with construction, operation and maintenance performed by personnel in the section to which they are assigned.  This employee will be expected to move into the apprenticeship program in their respective craft at the time it is offered. This Pre-Apprentice period will not be less than one year. Candidates selected for testing will receive a confirmation at the email address provided on the application with notification of the scheduled date and time for the testing session. Vacancies exist for the position of Pre-Apprentice in the Line Construction Department.  Please see the attached job description and outline for technical skills test, practical, oral interview and additional bidding information.  Normal Minimum Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Must possesses a valid up-to-date driver license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL • Must possesses the ability to learn the required duties and the physical coordination necessary to use special tools and equipment associated with work area • Must have construction or electrical experience • Basic understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems • Basic understanding of electrical theory • Ability to physically bend, stoop, lift and climb for extended periods of time • Ability to work harmoniously with fellow workers and customers maintaining a positive attitude • Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends and inclement weather and rotating shifts. • Ability to work in a manner that prevents injury • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing • Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills *PLEASE NOTE:  To be considered for this position, a resume must be submitted on the company Intranet, enumerating qualifications and skills. Position-Related Responsibilities:

• Assist personnel in the department they are assigned to complete their day to day tasks
• They may perform work as an individual. The work for which they perform will be in conformance with training and safe work practices.
• Must be able to take directions a
