Pre-Analytical Services Associate

We are seeking a Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:

The Pre-Analytical Services Associate is responsible for supporting routine activities related to the receipt, quality control, storage, and disposition of clinical specimens in compliance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with the receipt of consignments and shipments.

• Opening shipments and verifying patient information forms; escalating issues to senior staff as necessary.

• Coordinating shipments for long-term storage or client sample disposition.

• Supporting and responding to after-hour alarms and other critical job functions.

• Assisting in equipment maintenance and supply inventory management.

• Performing administrative duties and maintaining an organized work area.

• Handling receipt of compounds and control materials, depending on the functional area.

• Adhering to safety protocols and participating in self-study and professional development.

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Basic computer skills.

• Proven ability to manage effective reporting procedures and workflow control.

• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and infection control.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirements (e.g., computer use, small print). Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
