Pre-Analytical Services Assistant 2

As a Specimen Management Associate 2, you will oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of clinical specimens. You will support inventory control, guide junior staff, and troubleshoot operational challenges, ensuring compliance and consistency across specimen management procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

• Accession, ship, and store clinical samples while ensuring labeling accuracy and timely processing

• Maintain freezer systems and inventory records to safeguard sample integrity

• Identify errors or risk areas and escalate concerns to senior team members

• Support onboarding and training of entry-level associates

• Respond to critical functions, including after-hours alerts and lab emergencies

• Receive compounds and control materials, based on functional area requirements

• Promote compliance with safety, quality, and 6S standards

• Communicate promptly and clearly with cross-functional stakeholders

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology

• At least 6 months of related experience preferred

• Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of specimen management protocols Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of <
