Power Systems Training Specialist - Data Centers

Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) Division is seeking a Power Systems Training Specialist specializing in AWS Data Centers to join our team! Eaton has the largest and most experienced team of field services professionals in the industry, and we are looking to further build upon our best-in-class technical, safety, and power systems training programs in Glendale Heights, IL.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750 - $137,500 a year.

What you’ll do:
• Develop, deliver, and facilitate instructor-led and virtual technical, safety, and power systems trainings with respect to data centers.
• Support and coordinate training events, including but not limited to, set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment, and material needs in conjunction with training coordinators and other personnel.
• Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.
• Work closely and collaborate with EHS, HR, and Operations leaders to ensure the employee training and learning experience aligns with safety, onboarding, and technical upskilling needs.
• Conduct student evaluations, course evaluations, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts within training programs
• Apply knowledge of safe electrical work practices as described in National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standard 70E and OSHA 1910 Subpart S.
• Support in-person training in Glendale Heights, IL.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, or technical certification from an accredited trade school, or military equivalent with at least 4 years of experience with power systems such as evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment OR in lieu of a degree/certification minimum of 7 years of experience with power systems such as evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment
- Experience with data centers.

- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Chicago, IL will be considered. Active-duty military members exempt from this geographical limitation.
- Proficiency in the use of the tools required for the development of new training materials including Microsoft Office, WebEx, and other Web-based training media.
- Ability to lift, move and set up demonstration equipment of various weight up to 40 pounds and move demonstration equipment on wheels weighing in excess of 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualification
• Prior exposure and understanding of EESS training paths and safety certifications
• 5+ years of experience with data centers and evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA practices as related to electrical industry and safety standards
• Advanced power systems, relaying, or switchgear testing experience
