Anduril's Maritime Division is responsible for planning and executing Anduril's product and revenue roadmap for maritime missions. Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, and operations, the Maritime team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril maritime capabilities in a challenging operational environment worldwide. As a leader in the Maritime Division, you must be a technical leader with the expertise to evaluate, qualify, manage, and advocate for an increasing number of sophisticated parallel pursuits. This role is crucial in ensuring that the development of solutions and integration of technology align to the company’s strategic direction and is well executed within available resources. 

You will lead the technical development and integration of power solutions supporting our surface maritime products from concept to delivery. You will work across Anduril’s team of maritime and power related engineers, as well as third party partners and subcontractors. You will manage, develop, and test designs so that performance is directly connected with customer inputs. 

Your spectrum of support will be diverse in nature and require you to leverage your technical expertise as well as leadership skills to set objectives, build cross-functional teams, and rapidly drive to completion. The ability to leverage your intuition and prior experience will play a key component in making sure the right design, analysis, and test steps are being completed to ensure success. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience executing and successfully completing prior highly optimized multi-disciplinary projects. 
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

  • Lead and manage the initial design, prototyping, capability verification, and delivery of large (100+kW) power solutions for surface maritime systems
  • Manage the initial design of power systems and subsystems including system architecture development, requirements definition, system and sub-system trades and optimization, risk management etc. to ensure the appropriate consideration of design key performance parameters, schedule, costs, and risks to shape the product 
  • Perform systems engineering and trade analyses to enable the exploration and rapid iteration of early conceptual designs, while working closely with technical SME’s and industry partners to provide creative solutions to current and future gaps in the DOD capability. Ensure that the warfighter is provided with the best solution for current and future conflicts. 
  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure design for manufacturing is embedded in early concepts and matured to support full rate production at scale.  Drive product differentiation through manufacturing capability and novel manufacturing techniques 
  • Work with program leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope
  • Define key capabilities, milestones, and demonstrations to enable continuous development and maturation of autonomous systems 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or proven experience in a relevant field 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with technical leadership and systems engineering or related applications
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
  • Travel 25% to Customer and Test Sites  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-domain unmanned and autonomous weapon system development and employment 
  • Demonstrated engineering management capability; proven technical and personnel leadership qualities
