About the role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop detailed civil and structural designs, drawings, and models for power generation facilities, including foundations, steel structures, and site infrastructure
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, environmental, and project management) to ensure integrated design solutions
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices
- Perform site assessments and support constructability reviews to optimize design outcomes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, drafters, and engineering technicians
- Oversee and check design work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
- Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a high level of quality
- Assist with resolving design issues during project development and construction phases
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed
- Maintain documentation and ensure proper version control of design deliverables
Qualifications
Experience
- Typically 5+ years of experience in Power Generation civil/structural design
- Demonstrated experience with structural systems such as steel, concrete, and foundations
- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D)
- Strong knowledge of civil/structural design principles, codes, and standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Familiarity with power generation facilities required
