Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati (UC) Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE; https://ceas.uc.edu/academics/departments/electrical-computer-engineering.html) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in electrical engineering in the area of sensors and sensor systems. The successful candidate will join the MEMS and Autonomous Integrated Microsystems (AIM) Laboratory (https://eecs.ceas.uc.edu/AIM/) at UC.

Essential Functions

• Performing research in the area of sensors and sensor systems.
• Handling reporting requirements for research contracts.
• Publishing in relevant journals and conference proceedings.
• Helping develop proposals in relevant areas.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Doctoral Degree in the appropriate field or discipline, or the recognized terminal degree.

Required Experience

Research experience in design, fabrication, and testing of sensors and sensor systems, preferably with electrical/mechanical engineering background and skills on sensor design, fabrication, interfacing, and system integration.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
