What you’ll be doing
As a Portfolio Oversight Officer, you’ll play a critical role in executing and maintaining the firm’s portfolio oversight program. This program ensures consistent adherence to key risk controls and procedures, with periodic reporting presented to the firm’s Investment Oversight Committees. You’ll support the Director of Portfolio Oversight in day-to-day program execution, investment review processes, and compliance monitoring while contributing to process enhancements that strengthen oversight and control.
How you’ll succeed
Execute investment oversight processes: Administer the firm’s Regulation 9 review process, identifying and reporting investment review exceptions such as asset allocation drift, asset concentrations, and non-approved holdings.
Ensure regulatory compliance: Manage the firm’s pre-trade compliance review process, implementing and maintaining client and firm pre-trade compliance rules, including regulatory requirements.
Support relationship managers: Provide training and guidance on investment reviews, prepare oversight reporting, and ensure investment review deadlines are met.
Monitor investment portfolios: Oversee the firm’s separately managed and wrap program equity portfolios, ensuring alignment with investment policy statements and committee decisions.
Enhance control processes: Contribute to process improvements that expand monitoring routines and strengthen the firm’s risk management environment.
Collaborate across teams: Work with senior leadership, Relationship Managers, Operations, Compliance, Portfolio Managers, and Traders to align oversight functions with investment objectives.
Support special projects: Participate in cross-functional initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are
- Educational background: You have a bachelor’s degree in finance or another business-related field.
Experienced in investment oversight: You have proven experience in investment management, risk assessment, and compliance within Wealth Management.
Knowledgeable in regulations and investment operations: You understand investment products, Regulation 9, 40 Act requirements, and compliance best practices.
Analytical and detail-oriented: You have strong analytical skills to evaluate investment and trading processes with precision.
Effective communicator and leader: You can interact with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, Relationship Managers, and cross-functional teams.
