About the role

About The Heritage Group

The Heritage Group is a fourth-generation, family-owned business focused on construction and materials, environmental services and specialty chemicals. Over the last 90+ years, the Heritage portfolio has grown to include more than 50 companies that employ more than 6,000 people. What unites this diverse group of businesses and individuals is our commitment to create a safer, more enriching, and sustainable world by harnessing the power of family.

HG Ventures is the corporate venture investing arm within THG, expanding upon and leveraging its 90-year track record of building diverse and successful companies in sustainability, environmental services, energy, transportation infrastructure, and specialty chemicals. We seek to invest in high-potential companies from seed to growth-equity stage that are core and adjacent to these sectors. Our diligence process and ability to enable our portfolio companies' growth is maximized by the deep technical and market expertise of THG coupled with the entrepreneurial experience of the HG Ventures team. Our community, founders, and THG are at the heart of everything we do.

The Candidate

HG Ventures is an active, high-touch corporate venture group that seeks strategic collaboration between early-stage companies and The Heritage Group, helping to unlock value in all organizations. We are looking to add a motivated, innovative, and dedicated Platform Manager to our team who will lead our portfolio community, build relationships and expertise within The Heritage Group operating companies, and be a liaison to the broader start-up community. While this is not an investing role, you will be working alongside the investment team and have exposure to the diligence process. This role will extend across multiple facets, including relationship management and connective support for The Heritage Group, HG Ventures, and our portfolio companies, portfolio and pipeline communication, pilot management, content creation, business intelligence, and new initiatives. This is a high visibility role internally and externally, with the opportunity to learn the management of a VC portfolio.

At HG Ventures, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainable investing and corporate venture capital. You'll work within a small team that takes pride in achieving outsized results through corporate-startup partnerships.
