The Platform Developer - Cloud Operations and Maintenance is responsible for maintaining and improving internal platforms, with a focus on security, reliability, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing updates and patches, automating maintenance tasks, supporting CI/CD and containerized environments, and collaborating with development teams on best practices. The position also involves maintaining infrastructure across AWS, including Lambda functions and EC2-based applications, and contributing to disaster recovery and resilience efforts.

What you will do

  • Monitor and maintain internal platforms to ensure they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently
  • Apply patches, upgrade packages, and coordinate platform version updates.
  • Automate routine maintenance tasks and improve deployment pipelines
  • Troubleshoot issues in CI/CD pipelines, container environments, and application platforms
  • Collaborate with development teams to document operational best practices.
  • Proactively identify technical debt and work with teams to remediate risks
  • Maintain platform monitoring and alerting configurations
  • Assist with disaster recovery testing and infrastructure resilience initiatives
  • Support and maintain AWS Lambda functions written in Python and Node.js, including package updates, environment tuning, and integration with other AWS services
  • Maintain containers and EC2-based environments running Laravel (PHP) and JavaScript applications, including dependency updates, security patches, and configuration management

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering
  • FINRA Fingerprinting required
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Familiarity with containerized applications and orchestrators like Kubernetes or ECS
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PHP) to automate tasks and improve reliability
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting (e.g., CloudWatch)
  • Experience maintaining and deploying AWS Lambda functions (Python, Node.js) and managing applications in containerized Laravel/PHP and JavaScript environments
  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of dependency management in software applications (e.g., NPM, Composer, PyPI)
