Plant Operator - Asphalt

Boral Asphalt is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Plant Operator to join our team at our West Burleigh Asphalt Plant. This hands-on role plays a key part in the production of quality asphalt products that help build and maintain essential road infrastructure across the Gold Coast region.

Working within a close-knit team, you will operate and monitor plant equipment, support loading and production activities, and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our asphalt facility.

Your day will involve:

• Operating and monitoring asphalt plant equipment and production processes
• Conducting routine plant inspections and preventative maintenance activities
• Assisting with troubleshooting, fault finding, and minor repairs
• Managing stock materials and supporting plant housekeeping activities
• Operating mobile plant equipment where licensed and trained
• Maintaining accurate production and safety records
• Following Boral's safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in manufacturing, asphalt, quarry, concrete, construction, or industrial environment
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Mobile plant tickets or licences (Loader, Forklift or similar) highly regarded
• A flexible approach to work, including occasional overtime when required
