Bridge Construction Pile Driver

Cascade Bridge, LLC is currently seeking experienced pile drivers for a bridge construction project near Bellingham, WA.

Cascade Bridge, LLC is a heavy-highway general contractor specializing in bridge construction primarily in Washington and Oregon. We offer comprehensive benefits to include medical, dental, vision and retirement.

Compensation is per prevailing wage laws. Actual wage rates vary per project specifications. Many projects in the Bellingham area have a current wage for Pile drivers of $56.40 per hour plus $19.01 in fringe benefits (health insurance and retirement).

Pilebuck Job Duties

• Layout piling based off of basic sketches, diagrams, specifications, and construction drawings
• Measure, cut, and splice steel piling; and other associated welding (top plates, driving shoes, stingers, cross bracing, etc.)
• Fabricate, install, and remove pile templates
• Install and remove temporary work bridges/trestles/platforms utilized in pile driving and bridge construction
• Install temporary and permanent steel and timber piling
• Perform general carpentry work as needed

Pilebuck Job Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cutting torches, welding machines, power tools, and other related equipment
• Working knowledge of, and ability to operate pile driving specific equipment: diesel impact hammers, vibratory hammers and power units, box leads, hydraulic spotters, etc.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of pile driving experience (preferably in bridge construction applications, however any/all pile driving experience will be considered)
• Must be able to get certified in SMAW and FCAW to D1.1 (D1.5 preferred but not required) standards

General Employment Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Have reliable transportation
• Ability to work Monday through Friday
• Ability to work overtime as necessary such as extended work days and weekends
• Ability to work outdoors in variety of weather conditions
• Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
