Physician, MD

Requirements:

• MD or DO​ degree required

• Completed or currently in training in appropriate residency or fellowship ​

Software:​ Word​ Excel Power Point Access Office 365

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge and ability to care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease ​

• Able to prescribe/refill medications for patients as needed (including opioids)​

• Ability to work as a member of a team

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines

• Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner

• Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive-problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Available to work dependable, flexible shift

Responsibilities:

• Review and respond to labs, imaging and patient messages ​

• Triage patient calls regarding medication refills, symptom management or other medical concerns​

• Collaborate with infusion center while patients receiving blood transfusions, fluids or port access​

• Communicate with adult hematology team as needed for patients that are admitted
