Job Description

If you are looking for a collaborative, dynamic, physician-led practice environment where you can learn, grow, and excel in providing integrated, multidisciplinary, patient centered care, then Summit Health is the place to be! We are currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with our Allergy Department.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

• Master’s degree required.
• 0-1 years relevant experience required.  2-4 years preferred.
• PA License required.  BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.
• Experience with standard office equipment (phone, fax, copy machine, scanner and Email/voice mail) preferred.
• Experience with standard office technology in a Windows based environment preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying chief complaint/issue
• Obtain Allergy focused/detailed and accurate patient history
• Perform appropriate physical exam
• Record accurate and complete information
• Ordering or performing appropriate Allergy testing
• Interpret diagnostic and other test results
• Synthesizing appropriate Allergy and other treatment plans
• Patient communication, patient education during the visit follow-up communication regarding lab/test results or needed referrals
• Meet Department standards for patient satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to the collaborative agreement and state regulations
• Assisting/triaging patients who call Summit with problems or questions
