PHP Web Application Developer

ICF seeks a full-stack PHP web application developer to help us develop, maintain, and support mission-critical applications for a large Federal agency and long-time client. The position is onsite in Woodlawn, MD.
What you will do:
Use your skills with PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and other technologies to design, develop, maintain, and support sophisticated PHP-based web applications, using an Agile methodology.
Participate in daily scrum meetings.
Analyze, test, and resolve issues with application software.
Adapt existing software to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with other team members to develop technical documentation.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience as a full-stack software developer, primarily using PHP, to produce logically written and maintainable code.
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but candidates with an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience working with a combination of MySQL and PostgreSQL. Additionally, understand database terminology, and be able to write complex queries joining multiple tables.
5+ years of experience creating user interfaces for web-based applications with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
AJAX experience in conjunction with jQuery.
Code versioning system experience, e.g., Subversion or GIT.
Prior experience working with third-party libraries or frameworks.
Communicate well with team members, clients, and other collaborators.
Logically analyze issues and provide solutions to solve problems.
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required due to federal contract requirement.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field.
Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
Exposure to XML and web services.
Hands-on experience with LDAP for managing hierarchical data.
Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance.
Experience designing multi-table databases to include the preparation of schemas and data dictionaries.
Experience delivering application demonstrations to clients.
Experience working on Agile development teams.
