Maria Parham Health, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, is the region's healthcare provider, offering comprehensive services supported by skilled physicians, nurses, and clinical specialists. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the College of American Pathologists, we deliver exceptional care through our advanced Emergency Department, Maternity Center, Intensive and Progressive Care units, Medical/Surgical services, and inpatient rehabilitation. How you’ll contribute 

The Phlebotomist collects and processes blood specimens for laboratory testing in an acute hospital setting, ensuring accuracy, safety, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include obtaining blood samples using age‑appropriate techniques, labeling and delivering specimens for analysis, and maintaining equipment and supplies to support daily operations. The Phlebotomist may also assist with organizing and conducting blood drives, including donor interviews and screening.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Completed an approved nationally accredited training course or program in Phlebotomy required

• Certification from ASCP or NHA is required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
