The Pharmacy Workflow Innovation Manager will help identify and design solution for opportunities to address business challenges. This role will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and deployment of various pharmacy workflow projects, and will partner in driving the strategy and vision for the broader team. A critical function of the role will be to collaborate cross-functionally with partners (Pharmacy program owners, IT, Regulatory, Legal, etc.) to lead team projects.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and apply knowledge and data-driven insights to identify and solve business problems.
  • Design workflow changes (ex. Process flows), define system requirements, and lead testing.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with leaders and colleagues’ enterprise wide to solution, implement, and drive results.
  • Prepare and deliver materials/presentations for multiple audiences who may not have the same background and expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years required experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Consulting, IT, or related field.
  • Previous experience in Process Improvement/agile product development OR 2+ years’ experience in a Retail pharmacy setting
  • Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and/or measure success.
  • Process oriented: The ability to comprehend and assess complex processes and workflows to identify vulnerabilities or areas for improvement that impact the professional practice of our store-level pharmacy teams.
  • Passion for Health Care: A history of work in the health care industry and an ongoing desire to make one of the world’s strongest health care companies even stronger.
  • Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to travel based upon team needs, up to 20%.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Powerful Communication: The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of constituents, both verbally and on paper, and with all levels of an organization.
  • Initiative: Ability to think creatively and be a self-starter with limited guidance and coaching and to proactively develop and present potential solutions
  • Influence: The ability to foster effective working relations and influence without authority
  • Advanced working knowledge of pharmacy workflow
  • Knowledge of change management techniques and Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience leading others (either directly or indirectly) and setting direction.
  • Excellent relationship management, team building, and collaboration within complex organizations
  • Navigate ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles.

Education

  • Associate degree, or equivalent experience required.
