Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Health Services team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe and effective medication services for individuals in our care.

NOTE:
Upon accepting employment, persons must be eligible for a Pharmacy Technician Candidate Registration from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy. Before gaining permanent status with the agency, persons appointed to this position are subject to Chapter 9 of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy regulations and are required to obtain a Pharmacy Technician Certificate from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.

Job Duties:Assisting in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Maintaining accurate medication inventories and records
Ensuring compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and institutional policies
Supporting daily pharmacy operations, including organizing supplies and processing medication orders
Collaborating with healthcare staff to promote efficient and secure medication management
