Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for optimizing patient care by promoting rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Performs all duties associated with the Registered Pharmacist position within the scope of licensure. <br>-Initiates and documents pharmacist interventions to change prescribing where required. <br>
-Participates in patient care rounds as appropriate. <br>
-Contributes to and participates in the departmental medication use evaluation plan, including but not limited to CMI (Clinical Management Initiatives). <br>
-Reviews current medical/pharmacy literature regularly for recent developments in disease state therapeutics as well as new product development. <br>
-Provides health professionals with drug information and/or references. <br>

Education
Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required

Licenses and Credentials
Pharmacist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Experience
Pharmacy experience 0-1 year preferred and Experience with computer word processing required and Some experience with spreadsheets or databases and other computer software preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology and personal computers.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
