The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy seeks a semester lecturer (associated track) to develop and deliver elective coursework related to oncology both remotely and in-person within the PharmD program during spring semester. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University and possess relevant and current work experience focused on providing direct patient care in the oncology setting as well as prior experience with developing, teaching, and managing elective coursework related to oncology within a PharmD program.
Performance Objectives
Develops and/or teaches courses in PharmD curriculum classes as assigned.
Responsible for the creation of lecture materials, facilitation of in-class learning activities, assessment (i.e., quizzes, exams, assignments, and homework if applicable), offering of weekly office hours, oversight of teaching assistant(s) (if assigned), submission of grades, and resolution of any ongoing student or course issues.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent; Completion of PGY-2 residency in oncology; Significant experience providing direct patient care (either currently or within the last two years) in a setting focused on oncology pharmacotherapy; Prior experience with development and teaching of remote or in-person coursework focused on oncology at the PharmD level.
Desired: Active board certification in oncology (BCOP); Experience with independently managing a course using the Canvas learning management system.
