Pharmacist Retail

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist Retail to join the team. This role will be a Part-time various shifts.

Pharmacist Retail Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares and manages the process of reviewing medications, interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, and delivering medications to patients and consumers.
• Provides compassionate and pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of healthcare professionals, patients, families, and respective caregivers.
• Completes Pharmacy operational requirements by organizing/directing technicians' work flows, verifying their preparation/labeling of pharmaceuticals and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Pharmacist Retail Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: (Need open availability for PTO coverage. Must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Open Mon-Fri 9am-7pm, Sat, Sun, & Holidays 11am-5pm). CANDIDATE MUST BE FLEXIBLE 
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy. 
• Experience: One (1) year of retail experience preferred. 
• Certification: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
